"We filed a claim for water from recent rains, power outage caused the sump pump not to work. Causing water to rise enough to ruin our carpet and padding. During time of policy write up we informed the agent our basement was finished. We wasn’t informed about an endorsement for the sump/ sewage endorsement. Nikki Shah denied our claim. Loop holes in the system. Beware of State Farm’s poor policy practices. One my claim was denied by her after pleading my case in person, she said there’s nothing she can do. That was before her office told us we had a $1000.- deductible and to get someone out there for immediate cleanup up before mold begins to spread. After 4 days of Serv-Pro doing their job. We get a call saying it was not covered on our policy. So now I’m stuck with the bill from Serv-Pro. Totaling at this time at $2000.- and they are still not finished. After my meeting with Nikki, that evening I cancelled my home/ auto insurance with them. So beware State Farm policy holders- State Farm is not for the policy holder. They’ll take your monthly payments and laugh at you once you file for a claim.. Comments from a retired Veteran with income only retirement pay/ social security"
